Happy Thanksgiving!

The children love to circle around to share a book.
This little one does a beautiful job "reading" to her classmates and showing the pictures.
Here are a few of our Thanksgiving books in the reading center.
Trike-a-Thon donations sure have been a blessing to all of the classrooms.
The art center has fun new items to create with.
Here we are cutting and using glue, but also working hard to sound out the word November.
Finding the letters and putting them in the right place is our favorite part!
These new Wikki-Stix are so much fun.
We can use them to form shapes, letters, and words.
Look how Eli spelled out his name!

Our weaving loom has many different fabrics to choose from.
Pushing the fabric through the opening, then using our pincher fingers to pull the fabric through the next opening is good work for tiny fingers!  Plus we create something beautiful!

We counted a lot of turkey feathers this week.  We also used our new colored pencils to trace and then color the right amount of feathers.  Fine motor control is improving each week!
Miss Taylor is helping in the classroom one day each week.  Here she is helping the kiddos make their handprint turkeys as a gift for parents.  The paint was a little cold and some people have ticklish hands when the brush drags across, which caused a lot of giggles!
This activity involved cutting and the introduction of ordinal numbers first, second, third, fourth, and fifth.
