Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

The first few weeks of December give us many opportunities to enjoy the fun & silly parts of the season like Santa, Elf on the Shelf, Rudolph and friends.  We always reserve the last week before Christmas for Luke 2:1-20, the birth of Jesus.  We have several beautiful children's books that tell the story and touch our hearts.  I have to say that this year's favorite was The Crippled Lamb by Max Lucado.  If you get a chance to read it with your child, it may become one of your favorites, too!

I love how we can pull something out of the closet - like this fun rug - and create an opportunity for these little guys to work together.  Check out how many vehicles are on the rug...  So cute!
These beautiful ceramic ornaments were painted by tiny hands.  Hope you enjoy them!
Putting out all the supplies for gift wrapping is one of my favorite things to do.  The kiddos will wrap, unwrap, and rewrap these boxes.  Check out how they place them under our tree!
Mrs. Karen supervised the taste testing of the peppermint and blueberry candycanes.  I am very surprised to report that the graph shows that blueberry was the winner.
Here is another pretty little gift that the children made for their families.
Here is a shot of the gift wrapping station.  We used up a few rolls of tape, but it was so worth it!!

This little guy is adding glitter to his snowflake.
I love their concentration as they do their work for us.  Great focus and attention to the details!

This is how our "Cute as a Button" frames started.
Thank you to all of our mommies and daddies who were able to come and celebrate with us.

Look how beautiful their little Christmas trees are!  We used paper towel tubes dipped in paint to form the trees & cute little finger prints to make the ornaments.
